Okay, so, the only reason that I can think of that you might want to build yourself a snow cave is that you're stranded in a snow storm. Maybe you've been out trekking & got caught in the weather. It's possible that I'm missing a very important item on my hiking gear list, but are there really people who bring a SAW along in their backpacks?!
